New Motorola One Action let's you film horizontal video while holding the phone vertically

Motorola finally announced its Motorola 1 Action smartphone that sports a rare 21:9 aspect ratio display, and a photographic camera that films horizontally even when the phone is held vertically.

Dubbed as "Activity Cam," Motorola says on its Brazilian website that the Motorola One Action is the showtime smartphone to take the feature.

Looking into the spec sheet from Android Police, the 16 megapixels (MP) "Action Cam" also serves as the ultra-wide-bending shooter that could employ pixel binning engineering science to provide a more dynamic range. Besides that, the telephone has a 12 MP primary camera and a 5 MP depth-sensor that helps the photographic camera produce convincing synthetic bokeh.

Beyond that, the 21:9 LCD display has a resolution of 2520 ten 1080. The I Action uses Samsung's Exynos 9609 mid-range processor with 4GB of RAM. The 10nm silicon has four Cortex A73 'large' cores and 4 Cortex A53 'small' cores.

While it probably offers adequate performance for many people, the Exynos 9609 is roughly ii generations behind competitors similar the new Huawei Kirin 810 processor in terms of silicon architecture. On paper, it should perform similarly to the Kirin 710 found in the Huawei P30 Lite.

The Motorola One Activity goes on sale on August 16th for €259 (virtually $381 CAD) in select European markets besides as Mexico and Brazil. The company revealed that the phone would get in in Canada and the U.South. in early on October 2019, but it didn't disembalm pricing for these 2 markets.
